Summit Views and Yukon Sled Dogs

Set out on a heartwarming Alaskan experience with the Pet the Puppies Tour, a scenic and playful journey perfect for families, dog lovers, and anyone looking to connect with the spirit of the North. Your day begins in Skagway, Alaska, where you'll travel in comfort along the historic Klondike Highway, taking in the dramatic beauty of the Alaskan wilderness. Along the way, enjoy several photo opportunities, including stops at the rugged Tormented Valley, the peaceful shores of Summit Lake, and the famous Welcome to Alaska sign, capturing the essence of this untamed region.

Your destination is the charming Tutshi Sled Dog Camp, a working kennel nestled deep in the Yukon wilderness. Here, you'll discover the vital role that sled dogs have played in northern history, learning about their connection to the legendary Yukon Quest and Iditarod races. Passionate mushers will introduce you to their world and, most importantly, to the adorable sled dog puppies that call the camp home. Guests will have the special opportunity to spend time cuddling the pups and observing kennel life up close, an experience that's as joyful as it is memorable.

This tour centers around the heartwarming experience of spending time with sled dog puppies and gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural and historical significance of sled dog kennels in the Yukon. While the dog cart ride, known as the Musher Experience, is not included, the opportunity to connect with the dogs, interact with their caretakers, and learn about their training and daily routines offers a truly rewarding and memorable experience. Before heading back to Skagway, guests can browse the on-site gift shop, which features locally crafted souvenirs and light snacks, making it the perfect spot to find mementos of a unique and meaningful day in the wilderness.

This approximately 4.5-hour tour offers a beautiful blend of scenic landscapes, northern heritage, and the irresistible charm of sled dog puppies, making it a favorite for visitors of all ages seeking an authentic and heartwarming Alaskan adventure.
